I’ve been writing about music since the late 1970s.  I’ve been the music critic at the Vancouver Sun and at the Province – the two daily newspapers in Vancouver, British Columbia – and my freelance work has appeared in many media outlets. I’m currently a contributing writer at Shindig! magazine, Record Collector magazine, and PopMatters, and was also a contributor to Please Kill Me. I’ve written three books. Song Book: 21 Songs From 10 Years (1964-74) and Mixtape: 21 Songs From 10 Years (1975-1985) are published by New Haven Publishing, and Fountains of Wayne is published by J-Card Press. All three are available in print and as eBooks.
